"Some people go to the movies to be reminded that everything's okay. I don't make those kinds of movies."- David Fincher

David Fincher is easily one of the most gifted filmmakers out there. Notorious for his perfectionist method of film making, he is responsible for some of the best and coolest movies of the last two decades, including my favourite film of all time, Fight Club.

HAPPY 50TH, DAVID ANDREW LEO FINCHER!!

Here's to the next 50 being just as awesome :D

  1. One of the best directors of this generation (if only we could erase Alien3 from his resume).

Since he is a perfectionist and loves taking multiple shoots of scenes, I wrote multiple versions of this comment before finally publishing. Okay, not really.

    1. Haha yeah he would be disgusted to know that this was proof-read only once.

I haven't seen Alien 3 for the same reason.

  2. WOW!!! What a great tribute. I forgot he directed the "Vouge" Video. I have never found a bad movie he did. Even Alien 3 I liked quite a bit. Oh and I want that quote on a T.Shirt

    1. Thanks :D
It constantly amazes me that he made the Vogue video. You seem to be the only one who likes Alien 3 :P
It is a great quote, isn't it?

  4. Adore this man and love his movies. Every one is so superb! (Alien3 does not exist in my mind). And he's a fellow perfectionist.

I am not a perfectionist, but he's a total inspiration.

  6. Best director working today. Hope he gets back to original material and stops wasting time with remakes of perfectly good foreign films.

    1. Sort of agree. He is adapting the text better than it actually is, and not remaking anything. I hope he finishes it actually, but also keeps giving us something unexpected.

  8. I think he's my personal favorite director. I'm obsessed with everything he touches and I love the subjects he tackles in his work. Let's not forget about his VMA he just won for Suit & Tie hahaha

    But seriously, he's the best.

    1. He's in my top 3. That Suit and Tie video win was very well-deserved. The man can make gorgeous things, and definitely with very interesting subjects.

      He really is :)
