Podcast Time!

The last time I was on Ryan McNeil's The Matineecast, he randomly suggested starting an international all-female podcast. And yeah....

This time 'round, we spoke about the super-cool new entry into the vampire movie genre, Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, along with Thirst and Sid and Nancy. Ryan also found out about my deep admiration for Space Jam among other things. Obviously, I had a lot of fun and I hope you guys enjoy it too!

Across the Universe Podcast- IT'S OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Holy crap, it's been a year since the first episode, This Could Be the Start of Something Big, of our Across the Universe Podcast! My fellow chicks with accents, Mette and Sofia, and I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished or more excited for our journey ahead. Thank you to everyone who has listened to and supported our little international podcast throughout this last year.

To celebrate our first anniversary, we have come up with new ways to make our show more accessible and also to improve it.

You can now follow our Across The Universe Wordpress Blog and get all the updates on the show.
ALL our episodes are free to download and listen henceforth. Woo hoo!
We are also going to change the structure of the show a bit and make it shorter.
We totally have a Youtube channel (!) now where we will upload the trailers (!!) of all the upcoming episodes.
And finally, there is a new podcast trailer :)

We were supposed to post this episode last Wednesday but unfortunately, all three of us found ourselves suddenly very busy and were simply unable to edit it. We are all very sorry about that, especially to our guest Vern from The Vern's Video Vortex and erstwhile Video Vanguard (which actually shut down before our episode aired so yes, we suck) who was so great and funny. Please listen to our episode in spite of our delay and the length (it's our episode longest yet) because it really is fun.

Though the 86th Academy Awards nominations were announced over ten days ago, people are still excited. Just this morning, the original song "Alone Yet Not Alone" got its nomination revoked.

Listen as Sofia, Mette and I discuss the majority of the nominations. We talk snubs, wishes, people who should win and who will win and there's a fair amount of dissing as well.

Across the Universe Podcast: Episode 13

Episode 13: Give Life Back to Music

In this episode, Sofia, Mette and I welcome our first guest on the podcast, Ryan McNeil from The Matinee. Having observed Ryan's affinity towards music, we went with a related theme in mind. Listen as we count down our favourite music-related films that aren't musicals. Also, we get to know our guest better with a little questionnaire.

We must apologise for the few technical hitches in the episode. The geographical distance and my awful new headphones that I promise you won't hear from from the next episode onwards, are to blame. Hi guys! We apologise for being slightly late with our newest episode, but heyyy look! It's our 10th episode!! How quickly does time fly etc.? I'm kidding of course. This little podcast has taken a lot of effort and scheduling and whatnot but my fellow chicks with accents, Mette and Sofia, and all the support from the blogging community have made it an immensely fun and rewarding ride so far.
