I am suddenly in the mood to watch a romantic film. But I don't know what to watch, especially with my hard disk gone. Any suggestions? Preferably something not very sappy.
I'm not sure what you like/already saw, but... not sappy, meaning stay away from stuff like Jane Austen, right? I'm a fan of the 80s and 90s for romantic comedies like Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally (saw it recently and loved it), Notting Hill... though you probably already saw these. Sweet Home Alabama is my guilty pleasure - I don't know why, but I just adore it!
@Maria- I did end up watching a romcom- Wimbledon, which I love! But now that you've mentioned it, I have a sudden urge to watch a Jane Austen film :P My guilty pleasure is probably Princess Diaries, which I watch a lot. Great suggestions and thanks for commenting!
@Ruth- I have seen a bit of Romancing the Stone but couldn't stop thinking of Kathleen Turner as Chandler's mum. Thanks anyways :)
@Anna- I really want to watch Two Lovers. Will do soon. That was actually the kind of film I was asking for. Thanks for suggesting :)
Ofcourse I've seen Say Anything! It's right up there on my list of films which give me unrealistic expectations from life. Thanks for suggesting still :)

ReplyDeleteRomancing the Stone? That's kinda fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on romance movies myself, but I'm particularly fond of Two Lovers. Not sure if you've seen that already.
