"Love humiliates you. Hatred cradles you." ~Michelle Pfeiffer as Ingrid Magnussen

Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the most beautiful women to have ever lived, and grace the silver screen. And man can she be bad?! Her portrayal of my "And finally" character is my absolute greatest female role ever. I just love it when she's the badass.

A look back...
Elvira Hancock: Nothing exceeds like excess

Sukie Ridgemont: What scares me isn't how short life is, no, it's the pain, all the pain. I don't understand why there has to be any pain.

Ingrid: Don't attach yourself to anyone who shows you the least bit of attention because you're lonely. Loneliness is the human condition. No one is ever going to fill that space. The best you can do is know yourself... know what you want.

Velma Von Tussle: You're gonna need more than some seltzer to put out this fire.

Lamia: You shall not see the star, touch it, smell or hear it. You will not perceive her even if she stands before you. Pray you never meet me again.

And finally...
I am Catwoman. Hear me roar.

Can't wait for her and Burton reunion!!
This is part 4 of Favourite Actors who play Villains/Anti-heroes.

FAILED EPIPHANIES AND SWAN QUEENS

So I just had an epiphany of Scott Pilgrim-esque proportions. Okay not so much of an epiphany, but just a random realisation. Michael Caine has played both Alfie and Alfred. Cool...right?? Has anyone else noticed it before?

Reminds me of the time when I realised that Robert Downey Jr. says "I am Ironman" at the end of Ironman because that's how the Black Sabbath Ironman started, a few weeks before Ironman 2 released, and then everybody was like "Um...DUH." Yeah, that was bad.
Also when I was all excited to tell people that I've decided to call my personal style (once upon a time...now I just wear my pjs) 'Boho Chic' only to be told that that's already a style and I should read magazines and look at people like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen once in a while. Yeah...that was bad too.

The funniest Black Swan-related humour I have seen yet. Why couldn't they do that in the Oscars, instead of making the most boring shit ever?

"I walked with you once upon a dream." ~Annie Leibovitz’s Disney Dream Portrait Series

Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella

Rachel Weisz as Snow White

Jeff Bridges as the Beast and Penelope Cruz as Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Julie Andrews as the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio and Abigial Breslin as Fira from Disney Fairies

Roger Federer as King Arthur

Whoopi Goldberg as the Genie

Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen, Alec Baldwin as The Mirror

Julianne Moore as Ariel and Michael Phelps as a Merman

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora

Drew Barrymore as Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Now my friend Pragya is the big Disney person...I'm more of a Pixar person.. Still these pics are pretty cool, because I think most of us, when we see a cartoon character, try and imagine them as a real person. My favourites are Genie, Ariel, Cinderella and, hate to admit it, but Prince Phillip and Aurora.

Also I'm going to have a Disney Princess marathon with Pragya soon, and will hopefully post a lot on that. We were actually planning that today when I realised that Snow White is the single most stupidest anything ever. As Pragya said, WERE HER PARENTS RETARDED TO NAME HER THAT??!!
Random musings...

"Cosmo, call me a cab." "OK, you're a cab."

Cosmo:

Though the world is so full of a number things,
I know we should all be as happy as
But are we?
No, definitely no, positively no.
Decidedly no. Mm mm.
Short people have long faces and
Long people have short faces.
Big people have little humor
And little people have no humor at all!
And in the words of that immortal buddy
Samuel J. Snodgrass, as he was about to be lead
To the guillotine:

Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Don't you know everyone wants to laugh?
(Ha ha!)
My dad said "Be an actor, my son
But be a comical one
They'll be standing in lines
For those old honky tonk monkeyshines"

Now you could study Shakespeare and be quite elite
And you can charm the critics and have nothin' to eat
Just slip on a banana peel
The world's at your feet
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh

Make 'em...
Make 'em laugh
Don't you know everyone wants to laugh?
My grandpa said go out and tell 'em a joke
But give it plenty of hoke

Make 'em roar
Make 'em scream
Take a fall
But a wall
Split a seam
You start off by pretending
You're a dancer with grace
You wiggle 'till they're
Giggling all over the place
And then you get a great big custard pie in the face
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh

Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Don't you know... all the...wants..?
My dad...
They'll be standing in lines
For those old honky tonk monkeyshines
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Don't you know everyone wants to laugh?

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha
Ah ha ha ha ha ha
Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha
Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Make 'em laugh, ah ah!
Make 'em laugh, ah ah!
Make 'em laugh, ah ah!

Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh
Make 'em laugh!

-Make 'Em Laugh, Donald O'Connor.
Film: Singin' in the Rain (1952)

Easily one of my most favourite films, one of my favourite characters and one of my favourite songs ever. Unfortunately I couldn't find a picture of when Cosmo, played by the irreplacable Donald O'Connor, jumps of that wall (you know what I'm talking about).
This song makes me so happy. It's exactly why I believe in films so much... as much sorrow and horrors and whatever else happens to us and around us, they have the power to always make us laugh and forget our grief and anguish for a while.

"I have a million ideas, but, they all point to certain death." ~Alan Rickman as Marvin, the Paranoid Android

Oh Alan...how I love thee. So here's a guy who's made a career of playing iconic villains, or maybe just one, who in the end isn't a villain at all. With a legendary voice that can be compared to that of James Earl "Darth Vader" Jones's, Alan Rickman is a gem of an actor upon whom the unfortuantely prevalent curse of widely-respected and wildly-talented without any recognition-received has been cast.

A look back..
Hans Gruber: Who said we were terrorists?

Sheriff of Nottingham: That's it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas.

Harry: Oh, God. I am so in the wrong. The classic fool!

Marvin the Paranoid Android: Life? Don't talk to me about life!

Antoine Richis: Very well, but remember this... I'll be looking at you when you're laid on the cross and the twelve blows are crashing down on your limbs. When the crowd is finally tired of your screams and wandered home, I will climb up through your blood and sit beside you. I will look deep into your eyes and drop by drop I will trickle my disgust into them like burning acid until finally you perish.

Judge Turpin: You see, sir, a man infatuate with love, her ardent and eager slave. So fetch the pomade and pumice stone and lend me a more seductive tone, a sprinkling perhaps of French cologne, but first, sir, I think... a shave.

Blue Caterpillar: I can't help you if you don't even know who you are, stupid girl.

And finally...
Severus Snape: Has it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I don't want to do this anymore?

So call this a silly girl's dream, but I really think that if EVER Harry Potter has a chance at anything acting-related in the Oscars or any proper-award show for that matter, it will be next year for Alan Rickman as Snape with "The Prince's Tale" if done properly- no other character or actor in the film has the emotional ability to pull it off and this could be the big crowning glory moment. If Gandalf then why not Snape, is my question.

This was Part 3 of my Favourite Actors who play villains and Anti-heroes.
Also it was Alan Rickman's 65th Birthday a few days back, so HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY PROFESSOR!!

INTERVIEWS FOR LIFE! ~Second Installment

Daniel is my absolute number 1 when it comes to hilarious interviews. This one is definitely amongst his best. I love Rove too.

Rove: Daniel Radcliffe, who would you turn gay for?
Daniel: You know, I think Albert Einstein, if he was alive. Because I think intelligence is SEXY!

You give me hope... talk about ideal casting.
