I really like it too, and it is a good film to show to Woody Allen-haters because it is completely different territory.Nikhathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10379713171889712078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148220042850402796.post-78302245170646180722012-06-13T03:29:11.510+05:302012-06-13T03:29:11.510+05:30Very cool list. It is such a well done thriller that I forgot it was directed by the Woodsman himself. It's the one movie I show next to "Midnight in Paris" to people who tell me they hate Woody Allen.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16174093530239310598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148220042850402796.post-82804692215005804762011-12-01T10:49:02.436+05:302011-12-01T10:49:02.436+05:30@Dan- My favourite Woody films have invariably bec...@Dan- My favourite Woody films have invariably become the ones in which he tackles fantasy. But in Purple Rose he really portrayed a film-lover, which has stuck with me. I love Manhattan and Annie Hall too :D

@Andrew- It's sooo good. After watching it, I almost made it my number 3 (and even made that my facebook status for like a minute and a half) before I remembered that gorgeous opening of Manhattan and its uncharacteristic happy ending. It is one of my favourites - I love the fact Woody Tackles fantasy and I think he does it so well. There's some lovely performances.
