Day 3 of HP Day-a-Thon- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This is probably the best made Harry Potter film made yet... Alfonso Cuaron is a genius. It was shocking as well as admirable the way this film suddenly descends into darkness, as compared to the previous two and thus pave the way for the future, even darker films. "Something wicked this way comes."

Also, while one of the best things about these films remain the stellar support cast, with already existing legends like Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, Richard Griffiths and Robbie Coltrane, Prisoner of Azkaban brought with itself fantastic actors like Gary Oldman, Emma Thompson, Timothy Spall, Michael Gambon as the new Dumbledore and David Thewlis. I absolutely worship Gary Oldman, and Sirius Black was perfect.
Random HP trivia- Ewan McGregor was being considered for Lupin's role...just imagine how that would've turned out. Also Tim Roth for Snape and Hugh Grant for Lockhart...

Also, I think it is very essential to mention that Daniel Radcliffe never looked better or more like Harry than in this film and they should've kept him and his hair that way...

  1. That must have taken you ages!!
Hmm...I cana actually see Ewan McGregor as Lupin...but I'm quite happy with the current casting haha

  2. It takes a bloody long time and that's why I couldn't post the other 3. Even I can see Ewan McGregor. I love the cast, except Michael Gambon sucked balls as Dumbledore
